Fabulous DOMINO! Domino: The Book of Decorating: A Room-by-Room Guide to Creating a Home That Makes You Happy
Simply Put: Ehh . . . After just adoring the Domino magazine (a Better Homes and Gardens for the trendy set), I've been waiting to find this book, but then ugh! What a waste of time and money. The book offered nothing new or interesting in terms of decoration. In fact, I can't even call this a "best of Domino". Save your money, instead petition Lucky to bring back Domino.
A nice substitute to the magazine I was sad to see Domino magazine end. I suppose in this economy it's to be expected. Anyway, I haven't gotten a new subscription to a magazine, but I am buying decor books now. Domino isn't as flashy or modern or even innovative as some of my other books... but it's pretty good. A bit messy chic, like the mags or an Anthropologie store, but comforting and with easy to follow tips. I like it.
love this book! For starters, I purchased this book on Amazon because it is way cheaper here than in a specialty store. I love the layout of this book, it's very informative with lots of beautiful photographs and illustrations. I definitely recommend it if you like creative, somewhat vintage and antique with a little contemporary all mixed in one. If you didn't know anything about decorating before, you should know plenty after picking this up!
A Keeper, Good Reference and Resource Book This is a book I enjoy looking at over and over and it has many stimulating ideas.
It is a nice addition to the design books I have.
